After rendering the two seperate scenes I then converted these into a movie using Adobe Premiere.
The two scenes were joined and also a beginning and ending text was added to the clip. In order for the animation to have a better flow. I added effects like fade to black and fade to white.
The adobe premiere clip was then rendered and the final animation was complete.
Making the Roller Coaster
The roller coaster was made by firstly creating a basic path for the roller coaster to follow using the shape tools. To join these different parts together, the shapes were made into editable spline, moved the paths in line with each other, attach the splines and then weld the points together.
The loft tool was used to create the the tracks of the roller coaster. A basic shape was drawn to show a cross sectional view of the tracks then this was lofted along the path already drawn.
Using the cyclinder and box tool the supports of the roller coaster were attached.
This roller coaster was placed on a basic scene and then the carriages were made by simply using the box and chamfer box tool.
A path constraint was made with the carriages and the path.
This created the animation of the roller coaster
Animating a Moving Camera
To animate the camera moving around the room and zooming into the magazine page it was just a case of turning the auto key on and moving the camera and target to where it needed to be.
The Timing of the camera was again adjusted my opening the dope sheet and moving the key frames.

Animating the Pages Turning in a Magazine
Firstly two boxes were created, these where made to represent the main body of the book that would be left untouched. After this two more thin boxes were created to represent the cover of the brochure. A skew modifier was placed on the two original boxes to allow them to meet in the middle and also create the look of a book.
For the pages the quad patch tool was used and this was drawn on the right box representing the main bulk of the book. A dummy helper was then placed in the middle of the book and then linked to the 1st quad patch, which allowed the page to rotate in reference to the middle of the book.
The same steps were then taken to create the second page in the book.
Once the brochure (book) was created this was placed on top of the table and then the animation of the pages turning was created.
The bend modifier was applied to the first page after turning the auto key frame button on. The page was then rotated and bent to create the look of a page turning. This was then replicated for the 2nd page in the brochure. To adjust the timing of the turning of the pages the key frames were moved on the dope sheet.

Finishing Off the Interior
The ceiling fan was the next object to be produced; this was made mainly using the lath tool. The ceiling fixture and the main part of the fan were produced using the lathe tool the blades were made by drawing a profile and extruding it up. The vertices on the blade were then scaled down to give a point and the rest of the sides were chamfered. The mesh smooth modifier was applied to smooth out any sharp edges on the blade.
The final object that was placed onto the scene was a spiral stair case in the corner on the space. On the create drop down menu there is an option for stairs. This is the tool used to create the spiral stair case. When the roof was placed a hole was cut out, using the Boolean tool, for the stairs to go through.
Lighting was added onto the scene; firstly an omni light was added outside the window. Also 75w light sources were added to the standing light and spotlights on the shelve.
Finally the materials were added onto the scene which, mainly consisted of the architectural materials such as glass, metal, plastics and paint. These were applied separately to each of the objects. To make the scene look more realistic a image of a music video was added to the TV screen and also an art print was added on the wall by creating a map on the material editor and applying it to the objects.
To create a rough brick effect on the wall near the stair case the masonry architectural material was used and a tile map was added to the material. The running bond preset was used to create a brick look. To add more realism to the material a noise map was added to the tiling and also a noise was added as a bump map. This gave the material a different shade of colours and also made the material bumpy instead of just flat.

Making Speakers
The speakers in the scene were created by firstly making a speaker box using the box tool then cutting out the speaker holes and drill holes. The speakers themselves were created by creating a cone and removing the front face, and then a sphere and torus were added at the back with another torus and tube added to the front. The larger speaker was then taken and scaled down to produce the smaller speaker and then both objects were placed in the speaker box.
Adding the Details
The details of the scene were then made, beginning with the vase with the foliage in it. The vase was made by simply using the tube tool and placing a base at the bottom and the twigs were made by creating a profile with the line tool and then sweeping this profile. This image was then copied quite a few times and then adjusted by moving, rotating and scaling them. Also little spot lights were added to the top of the shelves using the cylinder tool.
The plate on the table was created by making a simple box but increasing the segments on the length and width. This box was then made into an editable mesh and the centre vertex was selected, making sure the ‘ignore back facing’ option was left unchecked and the soft selection was on, the vertex was then moved downwards. This created the plate and this object was then moved and placed onto the table.
With the standing lamp the lathe tool was used to create the lamp shade. The profile was drawn and then selected using the sweep tool to revolve the image. The axis was then adjusted to give the right shape of the object. The rest of the object was made from using the cylinder and sphere tool.
